Energy Saving Week

 I asked my Dodos ''what are you doing to reduce energy use in your home?We talked about the importance of energy saving.And then my Dodos draw a picture about energy saving to raise awereness.

We talked about energy saving to raise awareness of Dodos of how to make homes energy efficient. My Dodos prepared posters about energy saving.

Waste Battery Collection

 Although batteries do not cause any damage during use, if they are thrown away with other garbage after use, there is a possibility of puncture of the outer containers. This causes the metals and chemicals they contain to mix with the soil and water and pollute the environment. We are making waste battery boxes in our project in order to raise awareness and to contribute positively to our nature.

Preparing cards and hand-made gifts

 We had great fun with preparing cards and some small gifts. My Dodos are really happy :) We have sent our cards a little late because my class was in an isolation due to Covid-19.

Eco-School activity of Sakarya Primary School

 I made a presentation on eco-schools programme. My Dodos would really like to run Eco-Schools programme. So, we have already decided to run it next year.

Safer Internet Day in Sakarya Primary School

I made a presentation on safer internet use. We also talked about the internet habits of my Dodos. (We are late for this activity because my class was in isolation due to covid.) I have also prepared leaflets on safer internet use guidance and reached them to the parents and Dodos :)

MAKING NEW YEAR CARDS FOR OUR FRIENDS IN ROMANIA

Our Dodos have finished preparing New Year's Greeting Cards. We will send them this week to our Romanian friends!

 

 TYPES OF WASTE AND DANGEROUS WASTES

I introduced the presentation about "Types of Waste and Dangerous Wastes" to my Dodos during online meeting this week. Now they are aware about all kinds of waste, its sources and origin.

 WASTE BATTERY COLLECTION

We also talked about Waste Battery Collection. Dodos prepared waste battery bins. They will be more conscious about reducing the number of batteries being disposed as municipal solid waste.

PLASTIC, PAPER AND GLASS RECYCLING BINS 

My Dodos have done plastic, paper and glass recycling bins. They are really keen on environment and sorting out the litter. 

DECORATING BINS

 This week my Dodos decorated the recycling bins in the class! Our goal was to make the recycling bins fun and engaging as a way to encourage students to recycle more and we think we got it! 😊😉
